Statement
Through observations and personal documentation living aboard and researching, my paintings of the San Francisco Bay Area water and its living creatures inform the effects of climate change and pollution on the Bay. I use scale, textures and color to communicate how something unnoticed as a mussels has a great impact in reducing climate change. The heavy layers of rust in her paintings represents years of oppression humanity has suffered and consequences of the industrial revolution to the ocean. My evocative paintings bring attention to SF Bay Estuary and the urgency of Climate Change.
