Susana Veiga Neuhaus Denchasy is a Brazilian/ American artist, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her paintings embody memories of time and landscapes marked by the movement of the waters. She seeks to express the cosmological connection between people, the imaginal, and the natural world. Neuhaus is a process painter. She uses color, form, gesture, and brush marks to express feelings, the passage of time, the cycle of life, death, mutation, the effects of climate change, and rebirth which marks her transitional life as an immigrant mother living on a sailboat. Neuhaus received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with honors from California State University East Bay in 2022 and is currently an artist in residence at Mel and Leta Ramos Family Foundation.
